Yesterday my quilt that has been on holiday in the US arrived home. It is still gorgeous after not seeing it for all these months ( 12 months ). Now just waiting for the books to arrive, I'll let you all know when they get here.
Last weekend it was time for the Celtic Festival in Beechworth, it is on every year. This year I think it was the best ever, very festive and lots of bag pipes. The shop was very busy and it kept us on our feet. Usually we just sit back and watch but this year we decided to take part in the celebrations and have a Quilt display over the road from the shop. Lots of local ladies donated their time and help to set up the quilts, we would like to say thanks ,THANKS !!!.
We had a viewers choice award and it was won by Wendy Bridge from Albury. The proceeds from the gold coin donation and the raffle were donated to the Wangaratta and District Special School, they do a wonderful job with the children and we wanted to give them a little treat. On Monday I went over and presented them with the cheque. The kids are all thinking now what they can buy.
